In this zero-judgment workshop, we’ll explore how our body actually uses fat. We’ll dive into how big agriculture, the Rx cycle, and diet culture have confused us into thinking we’re fat when really we’re inflamed.

Gaining weight, but nothing in your diet has really changed? Are you eating like a rabbit, but still can’t lose weight? Do you have aches, pains, gut bloat, fatigue, lethargy? How about brain fog, frustration, and agitation?

Every food you eat is either feeding inflammation or fighting it. And because no one else is you, the foods that work for someone else might not be right for you. This is why one-size-fits-all diets don’t work.

It’s not your fault. You’ve been told it’s the price of getting older. The price of having kids. The price of eating carbs. We’re here to tell you that it’s something bigger: Our food system is failing us with pyramids designed to keep commerce going, and spraying foods with pesticides that are highly toxic for our bodies. Hi, I’m Shawna


When I first discovered I could heal my broken and battered body through food, I was all in.

In less than a week my symptoms diminished. I went from an 8-9 on the pain scale down to a zero. What?! I replaced fistfuls of Advil for bowls of broth.

I could sleep. I could find my keys. I didn’t want to scream at people if they cut me off in traffic. I could button my pants and not feel uncomfortable. More importantly, deep depression was leaving me. Labored breathing and heart palpitations were gone. I could hold a pencil and walk without limping.

It was remarkable! How can FOOD do all that? 

I spent the last four years diving deep into the forefront of immunology and emerging health science, attending and speaking at seminars, workshops, masterclasses, and conferences. Now I share all the latest findings with you through and my podcast, The BS We Feed Ourselves.

I’ve discovered that our gut is so much smarter than our brains. Our modern life is wreaking havoc on our bodies — it’s time to give it a break so it can get back to feeling good again.
